One of the poster slogans for this well known but less loved 1978 film was: "After 5000 years of civilization, we all need a break." And yeah, I can agree with that even though it means tacky renditions of discos stocked with white straight people in sitcom-situations involving drugs and computer dating.
When disco music can sound this good, you really don't need any excuses. This Diana Ross cut was one of the few from the soundtrack that wasn't released as a 12" single, which is a shame.
It's an epic Moroderesque production signed Hal Davis, slightly pitched down here at the Academy for extra enjoyment.
